Four Football Players Commit to be New OPSU Aggies

By Scott Puryear of OPSU Sports on 12/21/2010

(Goodwell, OK)  Four good football players have committed to join the Oklahoma Panhandle State football program and each of them plans to be in school for the second semester.  The players will be coming to OPSU as transfers from other schools.  Interim Co-Head Coaches Seth Womack and Marc Wilson announced the names:  They are:

Jesus Nieto (Offensive Line – 6’4” and 310 lbs.) from Santa Ana College in Santa Ana California).  Nieto is also an excellent student and was a highly sought after recruit by several colleges.  He has two years of eligibility remaining.

Sean Roane (Offensive Line – 6’4” and 290 lbs.) from Erie Community College in Buffalo, New York.  He has all the tools to a successful player at the NCAA Division II level.  Roane will also have two years of football in an Aggie uniform to look forward to.

Travis Hicks (Tight End/Linebacker – 6’4” and 235 lbs.) from Northern Arkansas Community College in Harrison, Arkansas.  An excellent all around athlete, Hicks can go on either side of the ball.  He has three years of eligibility remaining.

Dalton Josey (Offensive Line – 6’2” and 310 lbs.) is also a fine all-around athlete and he had an excellent high school career in Apache, Oklahoma.  He has been attending classes at Cameron University and will have four seasons of eligibility.

More transfers are expected, and the National Signing Day for high school seniors is set for February and the OPSU football program is expecting commitments from several more outstanding prospects at that time.
