Wyatt Kicks Off Oklahoma Coaches Association Convention

Beginning his 31st season as a football coach, Aggie head football coach Mike Wyatt was selected by the Oklahoma Coaches Association to kickoff their 2010 convention at the Southern Hills Marriott in Tulsa on Monday, July 29.  Wyatt was one of five college coaches to speak at the week long event with the others being from Oklahoma State, Tulsa, and Pittsburgh State.

"It was an honor to speak at the convention and share some of the concepts that we utilize, here, at OPSU.  I was happy to represent the OPSU program and to talk Aggie football." stated Wyatt.

During the first sesssion, Wyatt spoke on some of his methods and techniques of operating the OPSU football program including some that are not traditional.  Then, in the second session he spoke on all phases of the Aggie quick passing game.

In attendance, among the seventy odd coaches were Aggie alums, Don Goodno who recently took the offensive line coaching job at Mt. St. Mary's in Oklahoma City; J. C. Rameriz, defensive coach at Tyrone and former Aggie linebacker; Jeff Wardlaw, former Oklahoma Coach of the Year at Okeene; and Charlie North, long time assistant coach at OU, Arkansas, Alabama, Texas A & M, and TCU.
