Aggies Sports

The spring semester has ended and final grades will be posted by mid week. Right now the emphasis in the Aggie football program is determining the players who may have eligibility issues for the fall. Some may require summer school hours to be eligible although most should be in good shape academically.
Players were issued summer workout programs prior to their departure for the summer.   The program designed by Aggie strength and conditioning coach Marc Wilson will feature a diverse set of exercises that will work both on speed, quickness, endurance and strength. The players were informed that each will have to meet their positional standard for the “Aggie Run” when they arrive for the fall. Coach Wyatt has stated that no player who fails to meet the standard will be issued equipment to start practices.
“We have to be physically ready when we arrive in the fall. We are putting that burden on the players that they know that they have a conditioning standard to make in order to be a part of our team.   They will have to keep up with their workouts all summer to meet the standard.” Stated Aggie head football coach Mike Wyatt.
Report date has been set for 9 AM on Saturday, August 7.
The players were also given their insurance and physical forms that they should have completed and mailed to Brian Lankford, Aggie head athletic trainer no later than the middle of June.
Newcomers will be mailed their physical, insurance forms and workout programs this week.
Season tickets for the chair-back seats are on sale at $100 a seat along with reserved parking at $50 for the season. Renewals are $50 each.
