Aggie sophomore running back, Darryl Brister has been selected as D2football.com’s Independent’s Offensive Player of the Week for his outstanding performance vs. Southwest Assemblies of God University, last Saturday. On the day, Brister accounted for 256 all purpose yards, scored 4 touchdowns with one of those being in the final overtime period and the game winning two point conversion. Brister had 130 rushing yards, 55 receiving and the 71 yards on punt and kickoff returns.
“Darryl just put the game on his back in the final overtime. On the first play, he took the ball 25 yards, right up the middle. Then did the same thing again on for the 2 point play.” Stated Aggie head football coach Mike Wyatt.

Brister becomes the second Aggie honored this season by the web site.  Dyran Wright was honored earlier in the season for his play vs. Ft. Lewis College
