Womack Puts Technique into Action

Posted Thursday, June 19, 2008 by Staff
It is one thing to talk the talk and another to walk the walk. For Aggie Defensive Line Coach Seth Womack, he is in the process of putting his "talk" to work. Instead of just telling players how to play the game, he is getting to put it into practice as he continues to star for the St. Polten Invaders in Austria. This isn't Womack's first professional experience on the gridiron. The former Westminster College star played for the RiverCity Rage in the National Indoor Football League for 2 seasons prior to coming to OPSU as an assistant football coach.

Now, the Vandalia, Illinois, native is able to put his teaching to action.
"I am having a great time playing over here. The guys are great to work with, but I am also excited about the coming season with the Aggies" stated Womack.

The Invaders are currently 6-1 and Womack is coming off a 2 sack and 8 tackle performance.

"I can't tell you how many times I have heard coaches say that they wish they could go back and play after having coached a while. The old, if I knew then what I know now syndrome. Well, Seth is getting that opportunity." stated Aggie Head Football Coach Mike Wyatt.
